How to Place Button In center



I am new to android , How to place a button in Center horizontally. I use left margin , but it doesnt work for all resolution types. I write following code

android:id="@+id/setPasswordImgBTN"

android:src="@drawable/password"

android:layout_width="110dip"

android:layout_height="110dip"

android:layout_marginLeft="90dip"

android:layout_marginTop="60dip">

  1. Use layout_gravity. It informs the parent of the view's preferred position.

  2. Add android:layout_gravity="center" to the ImageButton. Remove the margins.

Slow Android emulator

I have a 2.67 GHz Celeron processor, 1.21 GB of RAM on a x86 Windows XP Professional machine. My understanding is that the Android emulator should start fairly quickly on such a machine, but for me it does not. I have followed all instructions in setting up the IDE, SDKs, JDKs and such and have had some success in staring the emulator quickly but is very particulary.
