monkey runner random generation

When I want to input some character I do it like this







device.press("0",MonkeyDevice.DOWN_AND_UP)







this makes input of char '0', and it works great





but the problem is I want to enter random numbers between 0 and 9 for let say 1000 times





how can I do this ? how can I play with random generation in monkeyrunner





I want randomly to choose between:







device.press("0",MonkeyDevice.DOWN_AND_UP)

device.press("1",MonkeyDevice.DOWN_AND_UP)

device.press("2",MonkeyDevice.DOWN_AND_UP)

device.press("3",MonkeyDevice.DOWN_AND_UP)

...

device.press("9",MonkeyDevice.DOWN_AND_UP)

device.press("Random Number between zero and nine",MonkeyDevice.DOWN_AND_UP)

device.press("Random Number between zero and nine",MonkeyDevice.DOWN_AND_UP)

but I need valid syntax to do this

    I'm not 100% sure entirely what you're trying to do, but if what you want is something along the lines of -

    device.press("Numberbetweenzeroandnine",MonkeyDevice.DOWN_AND_UP)


    then I would suggest generating a random number between 0 and 9 to an integer, and passing in this integer.

I have a 2.67 GHz Celeron processor, 1.21 GB of RAM on a x86 Windows XP Professional machine. My understanding is that the Android emulator should start fairly quickly on such a machine, but for me it does not.
