jQuery DOM manipulation memory leak in IE

We found a serious memory leak on IE when doing DOM manipulation. Basically, we were doing this:

$('#dataTableContainer').empty().html($(data).find('#dataTable'));

and repeating that line once every 2 seconds. From what we were able to see, that line was leakin around 1Mb of memory every 10 seconds with the jQuery 1.7.1 (it was even worse with older versions).

Are we doing something wrong? We tried several solutions already published in stackoverflow (Ex. jQuery memory leak with DOM removal ) but none worked.

Slow Android emulator

I have a 2.67 GHz Celeron processor, 1.21 GB of RAM on a x86 Windows XP Professional machine. My understanding is that the Android emulator should start fairly quickly on such a machine, but for me it does not. I have followed all instructions in setting up the IDE, SDKs, JDKs and such and have had some success in staring the emulator quickly but is very particulary. How can I, if possible, fix this problem?
